1. Who We Are

RijExam is an online platform for preparing for the Dutch driving theory exam (theorie-examen), operated under Dutch law. Our registered details are available upon request at legal@rijexam.nl. We are registered in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel — KvK).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We record your acceptance at registration (timestamp and version stored). You must be at least 16 years old to use this service, in line with the minimum age for a driving licence application in the Netherlands.

3. Description of the Service

RijExam provides a digital exam preparation platform for Dutch driving theory exams (A, B and C licence categories). The platform includes practice exams with timed conditions, explanations per question, and multilingual support (Dutch, English, Arabic, Turkish, Ukrainian).

Important: RijExam is not affiliated with CBR (Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen) or the Dutch government. Completing our practice exams does not guarantee passing the official CBR theory exam. We do not offer exam registration services.

4. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and a secure password.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
Account sharing is not permitted. Each account is for a single individual.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscription details, pricing and duration are shown before purchase.

14-Day Cooling-Off Right

In accordance with Dutch consumer law (Wet koop op afstand) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to withdraw from a digital product purchase within 14 calendar days of the transaction, unless the digital content has already been fully delivered with your explicit prior consent to waive this right. We will ask for this consent at checkout.

No Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions are one-time access periods and do not automatically renew unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

Promo Codes

Promo codes are issued by RijExam and may have expiry dates or usage limits. They cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-transferable.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on RijExam — including exam questions, explanations, translations, images, source code and design — is the intellectual property of RijExam or its licensors and is protected under Dutch and international copyright law.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, resell, redistribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without prior written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use automated tools, bots or scripts to access or scrape the platform.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or exploit the platform's security.
Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code.
Impersonate other users or RijExam personnel.
Share access credentials or allow third parties to use your account.
Use the service for any unlawful purpose under Dutch or EU law.

8. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. RijExam does not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the content is free from errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, RijExam's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim. Consumer rights under Dutch law (Burgerlijk Wetboek Book 6) are not affected.

9. Account Termination & Right to Erasure

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile → Security → Delete My Account. This will permanently erase all your personal data from our systems, in accordance with GDPR Article 17.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
